We're a team of high schoolers passionate about water safety. We are all a part of a swim team, but we realize that no matter how good someone is at swimming, accidents can happen. Our goal is to prevent as many drowning accidents as possible.
Hi, I'm Emily, a rising senior at Amador Valley High School and a certified lifeguard. I founded BWW because I've seen firsthand how unpredictable water can be. During my first shift in 2023, a child lost consciousness in the pool, which opened my eyes to the need for water safety awareness. Water has been such a big part of my life as I have been swimming competitively for almost 10 years. I hope that through BWW, I can make a positive impact—both in Pleasanton and in other communities.
Hi, I'm Evelyn, a CPR-certified rising junior at Amador Valley High School. When I was in elementary school, I lost a close friend to drowning—something that could have been prevented with proper supervision. I co-founded BWW to make sure no other family in the community has to go through the same pain.
Hi, I'm Nafisa, a rising sophomore at Amador Valley High School. As a competitive swimmer, I spend much of my time in the pool, which has taught me the importance of water safety. Additionally, as someone with younger siblings who love playing in the water, I understand the risks associated with a lack of supervision at pools, which is why I joined the BWW team. As part of BWW, I hope to create a safe pool community for all children.
